Camanachd Leòdhais gained a first win since before the pandemic with a rousing 4-2 win over Inverness at the Bught on Saturday 19 March. A fantastic hat-trick from Donald Lamont (including a glorious lob for his second) was enough to overcome two goals from Inverness’ deadly Finlay Calder who scored two screamers, before Finlay MacLeod made his mark on island shinty history with aplomb to put the result beyond doubt.
Former player Eòghan Stewart was down to capture the action for Iomain Cholmcille’s Seachdain na Gàidhlig events and the footage is available here. Having two Gaelic speakers fire in the goals was a good contribution from Leòdhas!
