So, two games in early July – one against Aberdeen Uni where we lost 4-0 at Lochbroom – big Kenny “Barlow” MacLeod was the difference and as he is outscoring Ronald Ross at the moment then it was goign to be hard to shut him out. The Uni boys were very gracious and congratulated us on our progress since the start of the season.
However, last time we played them we lost 15-0 but then drew 2-2 with Strathglass. Sadly, we couldn’t get close to that scoreline against the Cannich side who came to Shawbost on 9 July – despite Tyson opening the scoring, the fact they had Robert Geddes, the third top goalscorer in shinty history in their ranks meant that we came away form the day with an 8-2 defeat – are Lewis Camanachd happier on the road? Anyway, report on the Gazette website and Coinneach has done some photos on Flickr!
