A busy month ahead for the Dubh is Gorm.
This weekend sees the visit of Strathspey in the Strathdearn Cup. This will be Strathspey’s first visit to the island this season after they unfortunately had to forfeit the points at the beginning of the month, so we look forward to welcoming them this time. It is the first ever cup fixture to be held in the Outer Hebrides – another milestone for the people’s club.
We will be sending teams to the Far North Sixes in Scourie on the 7th of June. Lewis won the competition in 2010 and sent a youth team last year. Always a great day and the Kinlochbervie club are a great example of driving the sport forward on the periphery of the support. Great links with schools, community and a willingness to get involved with other clubs, no matter where.
The 14th will see Kilmallie make the league trip to Shawbost. Kilmallie are a great young side and this should be an entertaining game.
The 21st is the Craig Morrison Stornoway Sixes. This is open to all clubs and teams, including veterans teams, women’s teams and selects. Contact Conor Macdonald on 07906247411 or contact the club via its Facebook page or website camanachdleodhais.com.
The 28th at the moment is a free weekend at the moment but we may have Lochbroom that weekend.
