Craig Morrison 1989-2009
It has been almost exactly a year since Camanachd Leodhais lost one of its favourite sons in a tragic accident.
The memory of Craig Morrison, who was taken from his family and friends in a tragic accident at the age of 20, will be kept alive permanently by the announcement that Camanachd Leodhais will be putting the Craig Morrison Memorial Shield up for competition at this weekend’s Stornoway Shinty Sixes and those in the future.
Craig’s parents have given permission for the trophy to be named after their son, who was a wonderfully dedicated player and trainer. Craig’s presence is always missed on and off the field by those who knew him and we know that he would have loved to have been involved on Saturday but would be delighted at the progress the club is making
Whilst we hope for a very happy and enjoyable day of shinty this Saturday, we will all be remembering our team mate and friend and also thinking of the family left behind, his mother and father and his brother Sean, who has also played for Camanachd Leodhais.
Please come and show your support on Saturday.
Play starts at 1pm at Stornoway Primary School, Saturday 3 July.
