Tha an Comunn Gàidhealach air là ainmeachadh airson Cupa a’ Mhòid am-bliadhna nuair a thilleas am Mòd dha na h-Eileanan an Iar airson a’ chiad uair bho 2005.
Thèid an gèam a chumail eadar Leòdhas agus Uibhist aig Machair Lionacleit air Disathairne 15mh an Dàmhair aig meadhan-latha.
Chaill Leòdhas an turas mu dheireadh a chaidh an gèam a chumail an-seo ann an 2005. Chluich Camanachd a’ Bhàc an aghaidh Chaol Acainn ann an Tairbeart ann an 2001 agus roimhe sin, chluich a’ Mhanachainn agus an t-Eilean Sgitheanach aig Ceann a’ Bhàigh ann an 1987!
Bidh cuirm as dèidh a’ ghèam agus tha sinn an dòchas gun glèidh sinn an cupa airson a’ chiad uair. Cuir nad leabhar-latha e!
An Comunn Gàidhealach have named the day for the Mòd Cup when the Mòd returns to the Western Isles for the first time since 2005.
The game between Lewis and Uist Camanachd will be played at Lionacleit Machair on Saturday 15th October at noon.
Lewis lost the last time the game was played here in 2005. Back Camanachd played against Kyleakin in Tarbert in 2001 and before that, Beauly played Skye Camanachd at Bayhead in 1987!
There will be a function after the game and we hope that we can win the cup for the first time. Put it in your diary!
