After a good few years with no preseason, we were delighted to secure good early action against Lochcarron – albeit on astroturf in Inverness. The match was reduced to ten-a-side to deal with the smaller park in mind, but the surface allowed for some good flowing play.
It was a good, closely fought match but we managed to record our first ever win over na Carrannaich with a 3-2 victory. There were two cracking goals by Scott MacLeod separated by a Donald Lamont strike. All across the park there were great performances, with Al Reed doing well in defence and Gaga on great form at full back until suffering a bad hand injury in the final moments.
Thanks to Lochcarron for organising the fixture and to Archie and Calum for officiating.
Thanks to Neil G Paterson for the team photo.
