A belated thank you on the website to Lovat Shinty Club for their immense hospitality last weekend. (we have already thanked them on twitter and Facebook, but felt it appropriate to go the whole hog on here as well!).
The presentation of a quaich to mark the first meeting of the clubs was a great testament to both the spirit of the Kiltarlity club and the progress our own club has made. It will take pride of place whenever we get round to winning something to put in a trophy cabinet! Lovat are a great example of a community working together to reach the very pinnacle of the sport and we look forward to further meetings in future
The match itself went according to the form book, with Lovat showing great clinical finishing to ensure the match finished 7-1. Donald grabbed his first of the season at 3-1, but it was not to be. Lovat go on to face Skye in the next round, our Sgitheanach friends are excellent fellows as well so we will just wish both teams all the best!
This week was very successful on the youth front with Campa na Caisge taking place at Smith Avenue on Thursday and Friday, with dozen keen youngsters in attendance, gaining training and working on skills and games. The camp was again run in conjunction with CNES Motiv8 and we thank the Comhairle for their support.
Tomorrow we face Inverness at the Bught Park, Outside Pitch 1pm. Please come along and support. Match updates will be available on tiwtter @lewiscamanachd #dubhisgorm
