There is more fixture news to tide you over, club are very happy to announce our first pre-season game in five years which will be accepting the invite of Skye Camanachd to contest the John “Kaid” Maclean Cup on Saturday 17th February at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree.
Camanachd Leodhais are delighted to yet again compete for this prestigious trophy which we first played for in 2016 (where the featured image is from) and again in 2019, (our last pre-season match before this) with the 2017 & 2018 events postponed due to bad weather. This handsome silver cup was revived for competition by the Skye Camanachd reserves after many years languishing in the Skye Camanachd Clubhouse for a game with Kingussie Reserves to commemorate 100 years since the Battle of Festurbert. More info can be found about the trophy and the importance of John “Kaid” Maclean at this article from Skye Camanachd.
