The final game of a long but successful season and a fantastic performance to wrap up our season and secure second place for another year!

Inverness were buoyed by the fact their first team game got cancelled, allowing them to field a strong side to combat us.

We lined up with Connor Chalmers back in goal. Paddy Sinclair, Michael MacLeod and Ronan Sinclair were in defence alongside Colin MacRae, making his debut for the club at wingback.

Paddy Wilson continued at full centre, with Daniel Harrison and Ryan Gunn either side of him.

Donnie MacRae and Paul Duke, each bidding for league top scorer, started up front alongside Donald Lamont and Callum MacRitchie.

Callum MacRitchie became just the sixth player in club history to play in every single game in a season since we entered the leagues back in 2011, a fantastic achievement from a committed player.

We got off to a fast start with Dukey turning his man and firing home in the 5th minute.

Inverness had a good spell following the goal but once we knuckled down, we started to take control of the game.

It wasn’t until the 42nd minute that we doubled our lead, a cracking backhand strike from Donnie finding the postage stamp.

Into the second half and we were quick off the mark again. Some great interplay in the forward line saw Donald set up Dukey who fired in goal number 17 for the season.

In the 72nd minute, Donnie scored his 18th goal of the season with a smart finish. It marked his 17th in the league which cemented him as the well-deserved top scorer in North Division Two for 2024.

Our defence was an absolute rock throughout the game and deserved a clean sheet but Mikey Bell found a way through for a consolation goal for Inverness two minutes from time.

We weren’t done yet however and Dukey got his hat-trick in injury time, to net his 18th of the season, tying Donnie as the club’s top scorer for the season.

A cracking result at the end of a gruelling seven months, we can be very happy for our days work and can now take a short break before we get to work for 2025.

Thanks to ClubSport Lewis & Harris for their support for the team this season and over the years.
