Sadly there won’t be any competitive shinty at Shawbost this Saturday after Grantown-on-Spey’s Strathspey Camanachd gave us a walkover on Tuesday due to team-raising difficulties.
In place of live shinty action, you can catch up on the 6-6 epic between Lewis and Spey at their old park, Freuchie in 2012. This classic game was the first meeting between two sides in their early years of playing league shinty. Well worth a watch for one of the all time great comebacks by the Dubh is Gorm.
